On February 24, 2007 at the New York Comic-Con, Stephen King confirmed that his epic The Dark Tower was to be adapted to the screen.
At the end of 2010 it was finally confirmed that Ron Howard will produce the adaptation
In March 2012 it was rumored that Warner Bros will back the movies, with HBO doing the TV series.
Ron Howard has hinted that filming may begin in Spring 2013.
